Sasame Noodles

Cook Time :  15 minutes 
Yield : 8 servings 

 

Ingredients:

1 (16 oz) package linguine

6 cloves garlic, minced (I use pre-minced garlic)

6 Tbs sugar

6 Tbs safflower oil

6 Tbs rice vinegar

6 Tbs soy sauce

2 Tbs sesame oil

2 tsp chili sauce

6 green onion, sliced

1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted

pinch of salt

Directions:

Bring a pot of water to boil (with a pinch of salt)

Add pasta and cook until "al dente" (about 8-10 minutes)

 

While pasta is cooking, place a saucepan over medium-high heat.

Stir in:

  • garlic

  • sugar

  • safflower oil

  • rice vinegar

  • soy sauce

  • sesame oil

  • chili sauce

Bring to a boil (stirring constantly until sugar dissolves​

Strain pasta and put in a bowl or serving plate

Pour sauce over linguine, toss to coat.

Sprinkle green onion and sesame seeds.

Serve.

Note:  May chill and serve cold.

My notes:  

This is a really good potluck recipe as it is so good cold.​  Also, you can add broccoli, snap peas, etc. to make it a meal.
