Garlicky-Spicy Snow Peas*

Cook Time : 4 minutes
Yield : 4 servings

 

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon canola oil

1 pound fresh snow peas

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1/4 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil

Directions:

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

Add snow peas and salt

Sauté for 2 minutes.

Stir in minced garlic and rushed red pepper

Sauté 1 minute

Stir in sugar

Sate 1 minute

Remove from heat and drizzle with the sesame oil.

 

Nutrition:

I know this is very low in calories but I do not know the breakdown of it.  This recipe was part of a dinner recipe with a salmon with hoisin glaze (we haven't tried that one yet) and the full calorie count on that is 255 calories.

 

My notes:

This is a really wonderful way to have snow peas.  So simple and tastes amazing.
