Chocolate Lasagna
June 11, 2016
Prep Time : aprox 20 minutes
Cook Time : None
Total Time: 1 hour in the freezer or 4 hours in the refrigerator
Yield : About 30 servings
Ingredients:
1 package regular Oreo cookies (not double stuff) - about 36 cookies
6 Tablespoons butter, melted
1- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons cold milk
1 - 12 ounce tub whipped cream, divided
2- 3.9 ounces packages chocolate instant pudding
3 and 1/4 cups cold milk
1 and 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
1- 9x13 inch baking pan
Directions:
Crush the 36 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs either in a food processor or place them in a large chip lock bag and use a rolling pin or sturdy cup to crush them.
Put the crumbs into a large mixing bowl.
Stir in the butter, using a fork to incorporate the butter into the cookie crumbs.
When the butter is evenly distributed, put the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Press the crumbs evenly into the bottom of the pan.
Place the pan in the refrigerator while you create the additional layers.
Mix the cream cheese with a mixer until light and fluffy.
Add in 2 Tablespoons of milk and the sugar, mix well
Stir in 1 and 1/4 cups of the whipped cream.
Spread this mixture over the top of the crust.
In a large bowl, combine chocolate instant pudding with 3 and 1/4 cups cold milk.
Whisk for several minutes until the pudding starts to thicken.
Use a spatula to spread the mixture over the previous cream cheese layer.
Allow the desert to rest for about 5 minutes so the pudding can firm up more.
Spread the remaining whipped cream over the top.
Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips evenly over the top.
Before serving: Place in the freezer for 1 hour, or place in the refrigerator for 4 hours.

My Notes:
My husband found this dish of heaven and made it for one of our BBQs. I told him, "With all the food I'm not sure anyone will have room for dessert." Boy was I wrong...this dish flew off the plate in a matter of minutes and was completely devoured...I think the dish might even have been licked clean!
